Aundria Thompson
Addiction Counselor
Aundria is a LAC whose approach to addiction is trauma-informed with the client as the expert of their own experiences and the therapist in the role as teacher and listener. Aundria believes that substance abuse is grounded in a desire to cope, and she works with her clients to help them process trauma from their past and cope with the present. Aundria helps patients develop grounding, parenting, mindfulness, stress reduction, communication, relationship, and problem-solving skills as they heal through their addiction. Aundria is trained in EMDR, and also has strong background in working with children, the SMI population, and the correctional environment.
Aundria's hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, painting, traveling, and cooking. She has been to Italy, France, England, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, and a few states more in the U.S. Aundria loves to learn and explore locally and abroad.
