Gibran has been working in healthcare for the past 15 years. He started his academic career at the University of Arizona where he earned dual bachelor degrees in psychology and history. After graduating university he has worked in several pharmacies as a certified pharmacy technician where he learned about the different types of medications and his first encounters and understanding of addiction began. After several years, he began to study towards earning a masters in addiction counseling from Grand Canyon University.
His first experience in addiction counseling began in Los Angeles where he worked in an outpatient setting before returning to Phoenix where he has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings. He can be classified as a jack of all trades being able to work in multiple positions concerning mental health and substance abuse including residential, hospitalization, assessment, SMI evaluation, individual and group treatment and case management.
